From Vilnius to Uppsala: an exhibition about queens opens up a shared European memory
15min reports that on 14 February the National Museum of Lithuania opened its international exhibition “Queens” about Barbara Radziwiłł and Catherine Jagiellon at Uppsala Castle in Sweden. It continues the exhibition “Queen, Kingdom and Feelings” shown in 2025 at the House of Histories in Vilnius and runs in Uppsala until mid-August. The article says the idea of a travelling exhibition came from designer and curator Julija Janus and was taken up by the National Museum of Lithuania.
“…Through the lives of exceptional 16th-century women, shared artefacts, art and design, it brings the memory of our countries closer.”
