Julija Janus on art, placemaking and queens
In an interview with 370 magazine Julija Janus talks about her path from fashion to placemaking: the art installations in Stiklių Street, ARTerija – an open gallery without walls – and the brand of the Vilnius Glass Quarter. She is one of the curators of the National Museum of Lithuania exhibition “Queen, Kingdom and Feelings” and tells how it came about without the funding requested from the Ministry of Culture, supported by the exhibition’s Ambassadors’ Club and its patron, President Dalia Grybauskaitė.
“My connection with history has always been personal – to me it is not just dates or facts.”
