Janus, author of a historical detective novel about Barbara Radziwiłł: “This is another version of the legend”
In an LRT interview Julija Janus tells how she turned the legend of Barbara Radziwiłł and Sigismund Augustus into an audio guide, city experiences and a historical detective novel. She writes the scripts for the Slapta meilė tours herself – first in Vilnius, now also in Kaunas, all about the Renaissance. The audio guide was created during the pandemic with the help of historians, and the book offers a different ending to the story than the one we know.
“While writing, I thought like a designer – I wanted to write a book that could be turned into a screenplay.”
