Designer Julija Janus’s exhibition of stylised historical costumes “Slapta meilė” comes to Dubingiai
15min reports that the Dubingiai festival “Greeting Queen Barbara” opens with Slapta meilė, Julija Janus’s exhibition of stylised 16th-century royal costumes at the Asveja Regional Park visitor centre. Two men’s and two women’s costumes were made with students and teachers of the tailoring course at the Vilnius school of car mechanics and business – white, the colour of plaster, so that all attention goes to the proportions – and they repeat the motif of pearls, which Barbara loved. The exhibition ran in Dubingiai from 1 July to 3 September.
“We chose the white of plaster and gave up other colours so that all attention would be on the proportions.”
