When Slapta meilė decided that feelings should be tasted as well as heard, it all started with an idea. As always. Not with a product. Not with an advertising campaign. But with the thought that a story can become a taste. And that taste can tell a story.

Julija and Petras create the storyline. What will it taste like? What colour will it be? What will be the texture of the packaging? What will it remind you of? Meanwhile, Tomas works out the prices. Because even romance has a budget.

Then we head to the Rūta factory. And here the serious work begins. With Rūta, Asta, Vidmantas, and Rimantas. With people for whom the word “history” means responsibility.

Recipes are developed in the factory laboratory. We taste. We discuss. We curse inwardly. We look for a flavour that is not only pleasant but has character. One you don’t forget after the first bite. One that becomes a favourite and a gift.

When the taste and form are finally perfected, the packaging design saga begins. It’s created. Refined. Tested. Re-tested. Not because it’s necessary, but because we can. Because if we are telling a story, we tell it all the way.

Then it’s time for printing, production, packaging, and a photoshoot. And finally—the chocolates. They appear in Rūta’s shops. They join the Slapta meilė collection. They end up in your palm. And they look as if they inherited their flavour from a royal bloodline.

Every box is a story. About history, art, love, longing, sentiment. About taste that has its own plot.
Give a story that melts in the mouth.
