Today’s stars pose for a portrait of a famous historical couple: a violinist and the lead singer of The Roop
Artnews.lt tells how painter Miglė Kosinskaitė, commissioned by the Vilnius Glass Quarter, painted a contemporary portrait of Sigismund Augustus and Barbara Radziwiłł, with violinist Juna Armonaitė and The Roop singer Vaidotas Valiukevičius as models. According to the article, it was this portrait that inspired Julija Janus to create the cultural start-up Slapta meilė. The painting, titled Slapta meilė, became one of the highlights of the exhibition at Vilnius Town Hall, together with a collection of gifts and design objects made for this story by Lithuanian makers.
“It’s all Julija’s fault.”
