Romeo and Juliet

In Verona, the children of two fatally feuding families, Romeo and Juliet, fell in love at first sight. Defying their parents' hatred, they secretly married and planned a risky escape to be together. Due to a fateful misunderstanding and delayed news, Romeo believed Juliet was dead and killed himself in despair. Upon waking and finding her beloved dead, Juliet also chose death, thus ending their brief love story. Only upon seeing their children's bodies did both families realize their senseless anger and finally reconcile. This legend has become a global symbol, portraying a pure love that is stronger than death.
