Shopping bag „Royal Vilnius in colour”

A joint collection by SLAPTA MEILĖ and PITEX. Designed and manufactured in Lithuania.

The graphics for the „Colorful Royal Vilnius” collection were created by designer Julija Janus.

The buildings of Vilnius Old Town are arranged in a thoughtful order on Vilnius's love map. From left to right, the most iconic places in Vilnius are linked to the legendary royal couple: Barbara Radziwiłł and Sigismund Augustus. Their love story unfolded in Vilnius at and around the Palaces of the Grand Dukes of Lithuania, where today one can find the remains of the floor of the royal love story tunnel, as well as images and a bust sculpture of Sigismund Augustus. Vilnius Cathedral – the famous couple secretly married there. St. Anne's Church, where Barbara Radziwiłł prayed. Pilies Street, the Gate of Dawn through which Barbara departed for Krakow to be crowned queen and returned to be buried in Vilnius Cathedral. And, of course, an image of the Monument to Barbara Radziwiłł is drawn next to the Jesuit Church and Monastery, whose crown, when viewed from a certain spot on Vokiečių Street, appears to be positioned on the silhouette of Barbara's head in perspective.

Romantic Vilnius unfolds in a drawing of a royal love story, partly because its Old Town is recognized by UNESCO as one of the 8 most romantic capitals in Europe. This recognition inspired us to create the Vilnius Love Map collection.
